Looks like the body is ash and the top tiger maple--am I right?

Yeah your spot on nice light body 3.5lbs mighty might neck, EMG KH-21 pro set and the wonderbar.Sounds great, plays great but at a $1200 build price i could have brought something off the shelf just as good but i suppose its one of a kind!

The guitar plays like a dream and sounds great!No probs whith the build just bolted it all together set the intonation and action and that was it, no neck adjustments needed !Still waiting for some ebony/inlaid tunning buttons and truss rod cover to finish it off!

Glad you like it Muse! yeah all the parts are from ebay,they have a good selection of quality parts which you can pick or choose from but to be honest even though it is a superb guitar its probably cheaper to buy a similiar used off the shelf guitar!! I've stripped back the paint on a couple of guitars before and its a bit hit and miss what finish you are left with and sometimes the original finish can still be seen in the grain off the wood, so unless your original finish is a bit worn i wouldn't bother!!

i always wanted to repaint my B.C. from what i read its not that hard. unles i get into sunburst and stuff.
