Can anybody tell me if this dreadnought was only made in 1995, 1996, 1997?  These models had Koa back/sides.

Can anybody tell me what kind of wood would have been on a 1985 D27S? I have it down to solid spruce top, but what is the back and sides?

Last, where have the PDF Archive files gone on the washburn website that used to date back to 1988?

Git, from what I was able to gather, yours would have laminate rosewood back and sides.  It appears there were two different versions of the D27S: your's was the first version and appears to have been built late 70's through at least the mid-80's, and the other one you mentioned above, made 95-97 or 98, with the koa back and sides.

thanks for the info philpm.  i will try to get some pictures up.  it definitely is an '85 with the serial number beginning with 85.  def spruce top, rosewood back sides.

How do I know or found out if it is Japanese made of Korean?  Did the Japanese productions stop in the early 80's?
