Forget the Fender and jump for a T24 while you still can find it.
Make a proper setup, maybe a few upgrades (see other T24-related topics in this forum) and...GO![:D]

When you say while you still can find it, is it because they have been discontinued or are in very short supply?

Whatever this might mean, deppending on your dealer(s) in your area.
Another thing....don't forget that the Taurus is a design steal (the original belongs to Jerzy Drozd,a Spanish luthier).I wouldn't wipe off the possibility that Jerzy get some sort of a legal rights regarding his design,in wich case Wahburn would be forced to drop off the Taurus line (it's only a personal supposition, nothing more).

I am not a bass player but wanted one to goof around on so I picked up a T24 from ebay earlier this year for $150 NOS.  That thing was amazing but I sold it locally a few months later for $300 and have been kicking myself ever since.  And it figures that my son is about to start playing bass in the school jazz band and all he has is a crappy Ibanez.

I'm definately gonna try and scrounge up the money for one of these as soon as possible. It's also the cheapest neck-through I've seen so far, I think.

I've had mine since 2004. It has an amazing neck. Stable and just right. They aren't going to discontiue them.

The T24 is exactly the shape of a Jerzy Drodz but the bottom diminutive horn was on a Washburn first in the late 70's when both horns looked like that. So in my opinion it's like they got Jerzy back.
no frets?

I am trying to find a set of replacement pick ups for my T24.  The cavity length and mounting screw holes are not standard for all that I can find.  In fact, both pickups are the same size and SD's EMG DELANO and others all use a standard pocket that is smaller.  Anyone got any good ideas ?
