Well, that would be alright.  Just don't break an arm, hand or finger---then you wouldn't be able to play.[:o)]

Best of luck---you'll do fine.[^]

Well, the rehearsals and the dress rehearsal are over [:D].  It went well, I guess--I say that b/c I know I expect more of myself (I'm still not satisfied with the clarity I'm getting on that Bm chord, but the transitions have smoothed out now), but you guys and gals have been right in many respects--there is an entire 5th grade choir behind me, so my guitar playing is not the loudest thing (thank goodness the mic on the guitar doesn't seem to be working well), and if I forget that I'm going to be playing in front of an auditorium full of people and just enjoy the moment with the kids, the piece flows much better [;)].

Now it's onward through the fog to the two actual performances for the school and then the PTA meeting/Christmas program tomorrow evening.  I'll let you know how it goes.

As Greg said, let's hope that if I break anything, it's just that leg we performers are all suppose to break [:o)]!

Good job Dugly! I haven't played for an audience since High School. Was quite a rush though after getting over the butterflies.

Well, it's all over and it went well.  We had an equipment malfunction, the microphone the soloist was to use for her vocal solo didn't work, so we just took the one that was micing the guitar and gave that to her.  Fine with me.........[8)]

All in all, it wasn't so bad, no........it was good [:p]!  At first it was very intimidating, but as time wore on and I realized I had the piece, it was just that age old problem--an artist's worst critic is always himself.  I have to thank you all who encouraged and supported me--it's been a stressful journey, but now that it is behind me I think the next time will be much easier.

Thanks again, folks--from the bottom of my heart!

Way to go Dugly, Glad to hear it was a succes.
Keep at it now, play for any one that will listen, and if your any thing like me you will always be nervous...LOL
I have been playing on stage now for 18-19 yrs and I still get nervous before every gig,  we play twice a month.
This goes after the first songor two,  so i guess for some the jitters never leave..I have read that a lot of big named artist also get nervous before gigs.
sounds to me like you have the bug and you will be performing again....LOL
Cheers
Magoo.

Way to go Dugly! Glad it was a success. Don't you just hate those malfunctions. I've run sound for my church for the last two years and sound systems can be tempermental.[:D]

Just got back from our vacation. Didn't make it to Cassot (sort of glad - weather was horrible), but we had a great time. I'll shoot you some pics to your email later...give me time to compress them.

Maybe???  I say maybe b/c there was a gentleman there who was taping it with a digital camcorder, he said he was trying out a new piece of equipment and not familiar with the program that came with it.

Here's hoping..........
