New Year's Resolutions...
« on: December 28, 2007, 06:41:57 PM »
i gave up on these years ago, b/c i never stuck to them, but i think i have a few this year i may actually do.  [:D]

1)  delve into the realm of fingerpicking

2)  get an 80's hairband gitbook and delve into the dark side

3)  practice my keys and relative minors so that i can play chords at jam sessions, if nothing else... [;)]

4)  work on my 'terrors' of playing in front of others

o, and the easy ones.  i promise to forgo sky diving, body piercings, joining a cult... and eating liver.  [:D][:D][:D]

CB:
Great post!  I particularly enjoyed your last restitution - uh - resolution!
I always give up brussels sprouts for lent.  I can, because I am not an official observer of lent.
I always make the same resolutions, and tend to break them by 9:00 AM on Jan 1. Quit smoking and lose weight via diet (notice the first three letters!) and exercise.
This year, I think perhaps I will resolve not to buy any more guitars unless one is sold.  I am at the limit!
Hope all have a productive and prosperous New Year!

Pete... the only way i can eat brussel [sp?] sprouts is with ketchup.  [grin]

ah, yes, Lent.  the only way i make it through that is using one of the aforementioned forgo-ments.

i can hardly wait, i'm jumping up and down... BG is going to be here tomorrow!  [:D][:D][:D]

the Shiner house is a happy place.  [;)]

I hereby resolve not to smash any butterflies with a sledge hammer this year.

I made the same resolution last year and broke it not once; since I was so successful, I thought I might repeat it.  It's hard to argue with success!!!

Hi CB.
I think my whole routine needs a jolt.  A new partner to work with... a new inspiration of some kind. I'd like to do some writing.

Hugs for the BG!

Mine has to be to play some of the songs I wrote myself in public. I've always been really nervous about that.
