Still here Magoo. I have been enjoying Music Moose. Great site and good lessons. I had a couple of traded email with Anthony H. The mando teacher. Cool guy. Other than that, still pickin' and grinnin' Playing the guitar mostly these days. I take lessons from a great player here. So I am spending most of my practice time with the ol' guitar. That's cool though I'm hammerin' away and actually think I'm making some progress.HE teaches me gypsy jazz type stuff. Rick Williams has put up a new song so I have been learning that one You know his site? Bluegrass Books Online  http://www.bluegrassbooksonline.com/index.htm  Anyway, along with Jay Buckey and this guy I'm actually learning a few tunes that I can flatpick .  How you been ol' Magoo?
This is a slow forum compared with the guitar forum eh?
Cheers

Nothing new Magoo , my reso was part of xmas present this year, however......my birthday is the 13 of Jan and as a combination b-day/ xmas, I'm getting a custom leather strap for my reso from this guy....http://www.rpoffmaker.com/
VEry cool, just my intials and sunburst. He is a very nice man and when you want to spoil yourself or be spoilt by others or you're making a gazillion dollars, this is the guy to go to for a strap for your instruments. He is making mando straps too, he does it all by himself and like I said, you won't find anybody more into their craft/music than this fellow. In this day and age it's nice to find people like this who still care so much about quality and customer service. The little guy, who does big things.
How about you Magoo, anything new for you?????? I hope your xmas was a good one.!
Cheers
Scott

very nice xmas...it's different down here....usually morning spent at the beach, then a nice bit of sea food for lunch, etc. I'm getting used to it though. Don't really miss the snow. A new band? cool, I'm hoping to get some jamming done over the new years weekend, and spend alot of time with the reso the rest of the summer. It's a long slow process, but I figure by the time my fingers can no longer form a barre chord, I'll be good enough with the steel bar to continue playing bluegrass. As for the cost of Bobby Poff's straps, yeah like I said, when you're making a gazillion dollars, or being spoilt rotten. Something you buy as an heirloom.  It will be passed down with the instrument.
  Cheers
