Need Help ID-ing older 8-string Washburn
« on: February 29, 2008, 08:15:10 PM »
First post; hope I'm doing this right.

Can't find serial # (don't want to take neck off to find it),definitely Washburn, but odd 8-string (strung like 12-string guitar--3 tuning pegs on top of headstock, one below, 4 more at bottom of body.  Skull vol/tone knobs; jester skull on body so good a woodburning must have been custom-made if not original (given matching w/rest of guitar, I'd guess original).  Sunburst.  Plays well; looks cool; think it's 70's (not sure).  Two pick-ups; passive electronics.  Any thoughts?  Thanks!
