What are you suggesting Dugli?
Should the Washburn moderators show up at offending member's homes and beat them to submission or just until they aren't physically able to operate a keyboard anymore?
A person (or moderator) does as much as they can do, not to exceed their authority. Anything more is just petty vindictiveness and the sole domain of ex-wives!

The very odd thing about this topic It's Interesting seems to me is what would be called Off Topic and belongs into the General Discussion and not here in Acoustic Guitar Players section. When I logon to this forum and look for information, it gets very frustrating to see this type of communication going on and on. Why is it that someone does not move this type of thread to the proper section of the forum and then those person's who care to keep beating a dead horse can do just that. Think about it, this is a guitar forum not a back stabbing blog.

Wow, Rocket, I'm not sure how to respond to this--I know there's some sort of history that involves something of the sort to which you allude, but I joined too late to know anything specific about that.  Rockette mentioned something about a previous forum member being jailed for something of this nature..........but, this is the first time I've been led to believe that person was more than just a contributing member.

However, if vindictiveness is a requirement for a moderator, I suggest Washburn/U.S. Music Corp. contact my second ex-wife, she's the meanest witch I can imagine, and even if she might not be able to physically beat someone into submission, at over 300 pounds now she could certainly squash any life there might be left in you after she tried [:o)] !

Geez--imagine having a vindictive ex-wife as the moderator on a fourm to which I belong [xx(] !

If I had to hazard a guess, Pops, I'd say that the brouhaha that brought about all of this happened here on the Acoustic Guitar Player's board, not in the electric guitar players board or the bass player's board.  As such, IMHO it doesn't really belong in the General Discussion section--it really does belong right here, where it happened.

I watched it all happen from the sidelines, as I frequently quote one of my guiding principles is I don't have to attend every arugument to which I am invited.  I doubt that the forum members who frequent only the other boards even know anything about the whole issue, so (again, IMHO) it would be inappropriate to move the thread to the General Discussion board and subject them to what was a rather spirited but at times unsavory and very personal debate (understatement is only one of the many fine services I offer [:o)] ).

It's my sincere hope that as ragged nerves heal, members who left the forum might return--after all, many of those who migrated away were those very members who possessed such a wide range of knowledge, the very information you mentioned in your post.
