I've fixed the wiring, and it sounds amazing.  The only problem I'm having now, is the 59 in the neck doesn't sit low enough in the pickup cavity, so when I play higher up on the neck, the strings are hitting the pickup.  Has anyone had to route the neck pickup cavity out more to accomodate for the pickup?  Also, does anyone have a recommended pickup height (distance from the strings) for the 59 in the neck and the BL in the bridge?

Sounds like you have a vintage plate '59 (longer legs). How low will the pup sit in the cavity if you were to direct mount it?

If you used paypal and used your credit card through paypal to fund your purchase, YOU CAN do a chargeback!  Your credit card company is the one to call, and they will get it done!  This is provided that you want to send the guitar back for a refund.  You simply send it back after taking some pictures, keep all the tracking info, etc. to verify it was returned, and then call your credit card company.

Ayrton,
The pickup legs are directly on the bottom of the cavity now.

lynchfan,
Thanks for the info, but I think I'm going to keep it.  Still, at $450, I think it was still a steal.  Still looking for a hard case though.
