Just a quick hello
« on: October 21, 2008, 07:01:48 AM »
I guess I'm not quite a Washburn lover yet. I posted in another thread (http://www.washburn.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=13888) as I'm thinking of buying a Washburn and was after some advice.

I've just noticed this forum so as I'm from the UK thought I'd say hi.

Hi Resurrected welcome to the forum. Just read your other thread about the X50. I really rate this model whatever the finish i've had mine some time now and cannot find fault with anything. It's the guitar that gets the most attention (and i've got a few nice ones) playing wise. Just seems very easy to play, but of course everyones preferances differ thickness of neck etc. Gotta be honest before I bought mine I travelled quite a way to a major city (I live right down the end) to try one. After all it's a major investment and it's gotta be right Sound, Fit,and finish to be a keeper. It's great to get an idea of what's good for others but at the end of the day it's your dosh and unless you can afford to lose some of it by resale if you don't get on with it, i'd have an away-day and check it out.

Thanks for the welcome & I agree with you Cornish. I'm hoping to get to the http://www.musiclive.co.uk/ event so will hopefully get to try one out as there are quite a few exhibitors going to be there.
