Good Morning All!

I can't believe we made it through Oct without any snow.
So what are some of your favorite artists that go heavy on the acoustic guitar? Or some of your favorite music that mainly uses acoustic? I'm curious to know what makes people unplug.

I have a lot of favorites hard to pick just one.
But I like what Andy McKee does with a guitar, I can listen to him over and over and not get board.

I'm with magoo, too many to pick just one, so I'll just cheat and post two  If I had to choose just one from YouTube, it would probably be this guy, he's incredible and plays a classical, my favorite guitar sound. He's also quite active, puts up a new YouTube tune or two every week, everything from Beethoven's 5th to Dire Straits, check him out:

And for pure wizardry with a steel string, and just plain fun to watch to boot, it's hard to beat Tommy Emmanuel:

Good lord, there are so many more, like trying to choose the best wine from all around the world.......a never ending task [;)] !

Dugly,

Tommy Emmanuel on Youtube, yes I spend hours watching him, he is fun to watch, aside from being a great player. He's one of quickest wits I know of.

My favorites, well there is Hot Club jazz, blues, anything Celtic, classical, some rock, some of this, some of that, anything played with skill and feeling (you know craft and art).

Whenever you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however  improbable, must be the Truth .... Sherlock Holmes

man these guys are a lot of fun to watch. the way tommy hit those harmonics inbetween chords was way cool. and the first guy- naudo i think- i like the flamenco stuff he did at the end of 'sultans' blew my mind. thanks for sharing these awsome talents. I only hope to be 1/100th as good someday.

Andy Mckee was born with a guitar in his hands.  This guy is unbelievable!  I love watching him play.  How he makes his guitar sound like 3 guitars plus percussion, at the same time, is beyond me!  That bass/acoustic guitar he plays looks like it would be awkward to play, but he plays it with ease.  He definitely has some amazing skills...maybe too good.  Is this guy even human?...that's rhetorical.

I have to concur with Dugly, Naudo is one of the best free style classical guitar finger pickers I've ever seen and Tommy Emanuel is in a class by himself. I have just recently been watching Andy McKee he is amazing. But for MY money (which is anything free I can learn from) is this guy, because he has a link in the more info section that will take you to the tabs of everything he has put up on YOUTUBE. He is Australian, plays a Maton, and is purely amateur, but very good at it.

I prefer blues, jazz, and celtic music, and I also think, that this style might be grouped in one - fingerpicking.
My favorite artist is Tommy Emmanuel, the most brilliant mix of technique and music... and entertaining, of course :)
