Hi,
I'm spike, and I'm a newbie here.
Just put a down pmt. on a Washburn yesterday, and figured I would join up over here and learn lots of interesting things about the brand.
From what I can tell, Washburn has always made some nice stuff, and the prices were never crazy high.
OK, enough about me.
:D

Nice to be here!

Thanks!
It's a used one... MG821
Wilkinson trem, locking tuners, two Humbuckers, nice tobacco burst flametop sycamore.
Thing plays great.
I am not in the market at the moment, but had to buy it.
Been surfing the forum, trying to find info on it.
Mostly, I'm wondering if this is one of the models that Grover Jackson had a hand in designing?
Thanks again for the welcome!

<edited to correct top from maple to sycamore, who knew? :D >

Well, I picked her up today.
Once home, I spent a little quality setup time with her.
I would judge the overall condition at 9/10.
Very clean.

She turned out to be an even better player than I expected!

Here's the imaginary setup invoice:
-adjust nut height approx .020 lower
-clean and lemon oil fretboard (plenty of gunk!)
-level frets
-tighten neck attachment screws
-re-seat trem-post bushing, high-E side
-install new GHS Boomer .009-.042 gage strings
-remove one trem spring, and adjust bridge height/angle
-check neck relief (OK)
-check intonation (OK)

Yes, I used to work in a music store, and have set up hundreds of guitars, hence the detailed report! :D

Here are some pics (sorry for the hazy quality... it looks like I've got the Barbara Walters lens filter on, but I think it's just a fingerprint on the cell phone camera lens)

I just love it!
