Customer Support rocks

From my Myspace Blog

I have a ~17 year old MG74 (its the sunburst one with the maple neck thats stained to buggery - and I'm looking for a maple neck for it but thats another issue) and whilst restringing it the high E bridge saddle literally just sheared in half as I was tightening the string block.....

Now its a low-profile style Floyd (my personal favourite) and I haven't been able to find a supplier (in the UK) that can get me just ONE gold saddle... so I was sort of expecting to have to splash out a fortune on a replacement tremolo or seek out a cheap replacement on eBay.

However, I was advised to ask their Customer Support (thanks, Angela!) and a WONDERFUL person called Stacy has just made my Xmas complete as they have found they have bridge saddles for it (and again, bear in mind this guitar was made in 1991) and as a result I have a replacement heading my way...

And its with THAT level of customer support (which isn't an isolated incident as when I had my original KC90 in the 90's Washburn saved the day when a bolt sheared) that keeps me coming back to them....

Cheers for making my Xmas W!

Good news indeed arykala, just makes me wonder just what they have got tucked away in the storeroom under the stairs.
Wouldn't it be great if they had a print out of spares still available instead of us having to mail all and sundry searching for that elusive part, especially for some of the more popular older models that are still sought after and cherished by the members on this forum.
Let's face it what would be ideal is a decent sized store somewhere in the UK specialising in just Washburns, any central major city would suffice. I for one would travel as far as necessary to try before I buy, especially for a top of the range model. On that subject, does anyone know of a dealer apart from Richtone Music in the UK that has a decent range of Washburns in store?

There's no dealers in South Wales that I know off, though once Gamlins in Cardiff had a X40pro

Must admit to going a little green after reading some of the Stateside guys saying Just picked up a (Enter Fantastic Model Here) in a pawn shop for $150, when you know that our second hand shops have the finest collection of Nintendo games on the planet but not a Washy or any other decent guitar in sight! Although if i'm truthful a Cash Converters in Truro did have a D10 with a second sound hole in the back three months ago and they wanted $70 for that. Stating that Makes no difference soundwise to this beautiful guitar Yeah right. Willie Nelson has a better hole, at least his is through playing and not a boot mark.
Rant Over.
PS Guitar arrives Monday. Whoot! Whoot!
