A friend of mine who died recently left behind a little played Washburn B14 banjo and I am interested in purchasing it from his estate.   It is about 20 years old and has spent most of it's life in the case.   Does anybody have any ideas what this banjo might be worth?   I'd like to make his estate a fair offer.

Thanks.

I haven't seen a response here but I filled out a request for a preliminary evaluation at elderly instruments (elderly.com) and the word is that if this banjo is in excellent shape and includes the original case, it could fetch $550 to $600.   Best guess on the original suggested retail is somewhere around the $500 mark.
