what a load of hype.  Sorry, but I do NOT see the point in producing that guitar for anyone other than Nuno to use.  Its interesting to see the history Jon's uncovered (and that he has busted some of the myths too!...like the person who said about 1pc bodies I saw Nuno and went to get it signed and he looked it over and said to me .... I thought I got all of these?)...Its all Hype of the biggest order.

Basically everyone who got a relic because its built to similar specs as his no.1 guitar...will have to pony up more dough to get the guitar thats gonna replace it!

Any idea's on what the price tag will be???  I bet I could get a very good UK Luthier to read that thread, use my drawings and make me a true davies replica...if anyone other than Nuno knows what a true davies really is???  that thread just shows theyre all different and that some of the ones produced in early 1990's were embarressing.

Why go to all that effort to create a product thats all ready on sale???  come up with something new I say.

Didnt think youd notice my rant to be honest Nick!  Well, if its made of alder, has the same p/ups, the same neck joint and the same trem....can you really call it an anniversary model? Changing the neck dimensions by 3-4mm here and there and using a different router bit on the SEC 'sloped' neck joint doesnt warrant any big celebration in my book.

BUT...I seriously hope that the above is wrong and that Washburn pull something new and original out of the bag.  Im guessing you dont though.  Youve had a go at the N5 and N6 and even Nuno isnt using those on tour much if at all. When will the new model be unvieled Nick?

I can't yet, but soon.  We've started building the prototype and we need Nuno's approval.  It's a little more exotic than what you've described and Nuno will play it i'm told.
thanks,
Nick

Don't get your hopes up chaps, if the distributor doesn't think they are a viable proposition (As per the Eagle and Stage series reissues) then we won't see any. Strongly advise that if you really want one to write to Soundtech or whatever distributor you can find and hassle them until they get fed up with people asking and actually import a few.
