I like the trem posts.... philips screws!!!  I wont be bidding but thought id get it on here.  These are really early 90's models with a fake SEC line. Probably about the right price, depending on how it plays.

I always think that without the proper SEC it's not really a Nuno!!

the N2 really should have one too, they can put it on a cheaper guitar as has been proven by the NX3!!

be a nice collector's item though!

that body looks even smaller than an N4! looks like a kids half size with a full size neck!

But then no-one would buy an N4 [:)] what would be the point?? One better pickup and a schaller floyd rose would be the only difference! maybe $220-250 quids worth of stuff you could change in about an hour doesnt really make it worth the $1500+ price tag really.

What they should do is ditch the N1 and lower the price of the N2, and maybe put one of those contoured heel joints on it.

yea there really is no point putting the SEC on the N2. It'd put the price up too.

I imagine a large part of the SEC cost is the copyright/patent.  hence why you can get a body for $60 on ebay and a neck cost $300 inc vat

I dont think there is enough difference between the N1 and N2 to cover the market it is aimed at. An N3 equivalent would sit quite nicely in the lineup (such as the NX3)......But lets not forget the N61. If you want the SEC but without a huge prictag thats the guitar to get. But ive heard that the necks arent up to scratch.  An N41/N3 eguivalent would sell alot better IMO.

well there does need to be a lower priced double bucker model, i tried a 61, was through a horrible amp in a shop, so that won't have helped, but i really wasn't feeling it!!!

but yeah, if you can buy an NX3 for about $300 new, it's really not good that you the only one that looks like a nuno guitar with an SEC sets you back over a grand.  let's face it, if there was an affordable option that would be what i buying rather than my project!!

hmmm. can't say I agree to be honest. its like saying there should be a budget Aston Martin, the quality will suffer just to make it look more like the real deal.

ever played an NX3? they feel like a $300 guitar for a good reason.

Perhaps N4's are priced quite highly, but they totaly rinse over N1,N2,N3, NX3s, N61.

I played an N61 in danmark street, felt cheap and Gnasty with a capital G.

an N4 gets you Grover tuners, Schaller or OFR, BLUSA, Seymour Duncan, Ebony board, decent body/neck wood, SEC......

If my N4 disappeared I'd save up and get another, I wouldn't get a cheaper version even if it had an SEC.

hmmm, but considering i only have one guitar that has a new price of over $350, and to be honest it's not one of my favourite guitars, you can see why i struggle to part with that quantity of cash!!

i know you've made the comment about my '57 reissue strat before that it's based on old technology Matt, but that's my only 'expensive' guitar, my other favourites are my epi les paul and my faith acoustic, and i could play them forever!!

maybe i haven't played enough quality guitars!!

who knows, maybe if the 20th aniversary models knock me off my feet i may have to take a hit on a credit card (maybe two, depends on how much they are!!!)

guitars don't have to be expensive to be good, but the features of the N4 are by nature expensive.

my PRS SE is a really nice guitar and it was only $400 new!

So from what you've seen on the funkymunky forum, you think they're jsut doing a nuno stage guitar replica for the aniversary model???

I dont think N4's are expensive for what you get on the guitar.  Compared to similar guitars, particularly signature models, they are quite reasonable.

So the 20th Anniversary Nuno is going to be..... a Relic?????  with a bit more relic done to it??

That would be shyte. Wheres the innovation in that??

Take a look here

http://www.armleg.com/funkymunkymusic/viewtopic.php?t=276&mforum=funkymunkymusic

then here

http://www.armleg.com/funkymunkymusic/viewtopic.php?t=283&mforum=funkymunkymusic

from what i gather they're taking measurements from the early davis models, as well as having taken profiles of the neck on Nuno's stage guitar, so kinda points towards the recreation of the early models.

i agree, no innovation there at all, you'd expect the anniversary to has some real flair to it, and really stand out!!!
