Finish on stand?
« on: May 13, 2009, 08:15:27 PM »
OK, decided to keep my D10 out so it's always near me so I can play more!! I'm making a stand out of some red oak and want to know what finish I should use on the oak. I want a clear finish but don't want to use anything that would react with the guitars finish. I'm using felt to pad the places where the guitar will touch stand. Thanks for reply's. Truk.

Seriously though, like Shiner says - if you're using felt (good idea) the finish doesn't matter. In fact, because the D10 is finished in catalyzed polymer, any finish would be fine even in direct contact.

Thanks for info. I'm going to use felt.
