Just bought one of these for Christmas, great instrument, plays superbly, would like to register it, but can't seem to see its serial number? Can anyone assist with its location on the banjo, and Merry Xmas to you all.

There
should be
a sticker inside the resonator with the serial number. You might have to take the resonator off to see it.
If not there, the registration / inspection card (
that should come
with the instrument) might have a handwritten serial on it.

Binder1, thanks for that; thought it might be in a hard-to-get-at location.. okay, i'll leave it for now. Found it - thanks - written in black texta on the polyurethane bag the instrument came in inside the cardboard box. Luckily i didn't throw it away !
Thanks again, Binder1, and Season's Greetings 2011 to you. (Strange, they didn't include the s/n in the sales docket.)

One further point if i may - would you happen to know what gauge the supplied & fitted 'Extended Life Slicks by Washburn' are ? Presumably they're light gauge, though they may be medium gauge, .010 - .023s ? Maybe it's time to invest in a micrometer ?
