1893 Washburn Mandolin
« on: June 24, 2009, 12:43:06 AM »
I have a 1893 Washburn mandolin just like the title says in excellant condition that I would love to get some information on and or help finding the right dealer or player to appreciate its value. It is beautiful. There are a few strings missing which has help preserve the neck; which is perfectly straight.  The bowl is two toned, No, deep scratces. Has a few scuff's; a muscian would appricate them and collector could preserve it's beauty. No cracks. In addition to being in wonderful shape and still having a glossy shine from being in the orginal case. Inside the bowl has warranty for one year through 1894. Stamp has serial number and is readable and in mint condition.

If anyone could give me some information about it I would appreciate it.

Just and F.Y.I.-  My mom and I have had this in our family for as long as everyone could remember, I have had it in my home for the last 20 years and want to find out more about it. We are of Spanish decent from Arizona.
