Ok a starter for 10!
« on: June 25, 2009, 06:50:14 AM »
Ok here is my Washburn HM24v, which I am led to believe is a prototype of the new HM range. I bought it new in 2008, its serial numbered for 2007 and was made in Indonesia. It has the Buzz Feiten tuning system, an OFR and Egnater pickups - rosewood fingerboard and flame inlays over a bolt on 24 fret maple neck. Absolutely beautiful flamed black maple top and plays like a dream...

As no one has posted in this forum yet, I thought I'd break the cherry and ask if anyone knows anything about it. I once found a similar one on a Japanese blog but that had the compass-star inlays..

Thanks

A

The HM series in the 80's is what I'm talking about.
Read my post with pictures on this page
http://forums.washburn.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5605

I have a HM-80 (stolen( and a HM-6V.  The 6V has a floyd I bought for it and two single coil and 1 bucker.  The 80 has a Kahler tremelo and two humbuckers.  The 80 blows away the 6V.  Link above for info and pics

This is not a 80's reissue - its a proto for the new HM range.

Hi, I think I have the same one as you. But mine is licenced floyd rose. Egnater pickups and very very thin neck... rosewood fretboard and compass inlays though..
