Well here's one on UK Ebay and it looks genuine to me.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Washburn-EA48_W0QQitemZ180374327325QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV?hash=item29ff25d01d&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A1|66%3A2|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A2|294%3A50

You could email customer services for their input just to confirm that this is what it appears to be.

Hey Pike,

The info you listed is for a different EA48 version than what Craig and Cornish Boy are looking at.

to RyanSLASH, can i ask is your EA48 in natural finish, there is no serial or model number inside probably because it is not in prodution yet? as far as i know from what the seller told me there are only three, yes i bought mine on ebay from a music store in the USA and they told me they are genuine pre-prodution models made in 2008. hope this helps Ryan.

Hi Ryan, i have been checking, my EA48 made 2008, there is no serial or batch number label   just a george washburn label EA48 2008. if there is no serial number surely this proves it is a pre-prodution model?

purchased from butler music

If you run a search, you will find a listing for ebay stores, Butler Music- P. Hill auctions. So, you can believe what you want from the ebay ad, since P. Hill always tells the absolute truth.
