GC is such a mess these days.  Their sales people are lower than used car salesmen and they know nothing at all about guitars or amplifiers. Ask them about ANY guitar and they say it's a nice guitar.    Ask about the price and they look at the tag.  They know less about amplifiers.  (I confess it took some reading for me to figure out limiter and presence and I do not use channel.   I do not like buzz at all. Some other guy (great guitar player) asked  me about a knob on his amp -- he says hey what does XXX knob do?  and we both laughed.  (Why don't amp makers put a plain English label on those knobs?) ... well they all know how to mark up the price tag.  $800 -- $900 for a parlor amp.  (look for that to be half after Jan 1 -- they need to get the cash back and clear the books.) Not much is being spent in the retail stores.
