hey Texas Dave
Welcome to the forum. You definitely qualify for membership!(even though requirements are very low) beautiful collection man!

You're the guy I've been wanting to talk to. Looks to me like you've got a -68 and a -70(pilsen) as well as an 80?(with the triangle inlays?)

between the 68 and the 70, which do you like better and why...or if you don't like one better...what's the difference tonally or weight wise...you get the idea.

I'd love to hear someone with extensive first hand knowledge address the actual difference between the high end idols....seems like you're the guy! Have you left these stock with the 59/custom custom config?

Is that Pilsen Padauk?

Wecome to the forum Texas and Oh Yeah love 'em all even the Peavey. Gotta go for the Paddy though, that does look nice with the block inlays. IMHO Washburn should offer that choice on more models.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks!!! The only pilsen I have is the Cherry Burst PI-80. The Orange Burst is a 68, The Padauk isn't a pilsen, just a limited run of 13 from Boogie Street. The two black ones are actually thick body, custom import 66's, also from Boogie Street.
The 68 and the 80 are stock pups, Fallen Idol has SD El Diablo's, Padauk has SD Antiquities, Black flame top Elite Idol had ZW EMG's.
The 68 is very nice. Thinner body than the PI-80, but very smooth. I am going to change out the bridge pup with a Dimebucker, these guitars scream with Dimebuckers. And the PI-80 will be changed out with a JB, this thick body sings with a JB. I tend to think the tone difference between the two is kind of like an SG and a Les Paul.
There are a couple of guys on here, Krazymonkeynuts and Flymolo, they are more knowledgeable on the subject than I am.
Let me know if the is anything I can help with.

This one is truly one of a kind. Chewy painted the Brutus logo on the back of this one for Eric McKenna/owner of Boogie Street. There are 10 more blue ones, but none have the face on the back.

It's not a Southern Cross. It's the import version just called The Cross from Boogie Street Guitars. Just as nice as the USA model but way less $$$$$. Get ahold of Eric at BSG. I think he still has some left. And no you can't have mine...LOL
