N2 SEC and other NAMM Nuno guitars arrived!
« on: July 21, 2009, 10:35:53 PM »
I'm in love

flame maple top
1 piece mahogany body
davies 2.0 spec
bournes audio taper pot
nuno neck spec

N24 (new import SEC model) (prototype)

yes, it looks like it may have been a little too relic'd, but this guitar is VERY nice.  Great neck.  It really is a great guitar. I was shocked.  I played it for about 1/2 hour today. (it is available if someone wants a rare prototype from the namm show)

ALSO 2 other N2 protos that are being added (both are available as well)

the MW mahogany

the N2 vintage

IF someone here wants all three, I will make a good package price!
there is no money above the 5th fret..........but its a great place to hang out

I have to agree on the relic jobs.  The dirt is pretty distracting and makes a classy-looking guitar appear a bit cheesy imo.

The flame maple-topped guitar is a beauty though.  Nice to see Washburn expanding the line a bit.

With the N2s getting a SEC, what will be the most important difference between the N2 and the N4?

N4 Vintage with birdseye neck 0804178

Dude, i've already got this one!!!  i've been pestering Jon and Nick about it for months now, so Jon gave me first dibs on it!! XD

it was $699 with $99 shipping to the UK, which after import duty and tax should come in at about the $600 mark!! (though i've added the form fit case as well, $129, especially as this is the proto and i'm uber stoked!!!)

i'd guess the main differences are...

Hardware, N24 will most likely be washburn 600-s trem, and washburn tuners, N4 has OFR or schaller trem, with gotoh or grover tuners

Pickup, N24 - washburn PUP in the neck, N4 SD 59 in the neck

Fretboard, N24 - rosewood N4- Ebony

there's some different tooling on the body too, you can see the PUPs are closer together.

Hmm... The Pups on the N24 look as though they are closer together than even on my '05 N2..

The small, but mighty collection:
Washburn N2, Barracuda Strat Copy, Art & Lutherie Acoustic, Greg Bennet D-5 Acoustic, Roland Cube 30
