N4 Case question.
« on: August 20, 2009, 12:52:54 PM »
I am sure this has been asked before but, I could not find anything on it here. The Flight case that comes with the N4 is a pile of junk, it's wicked heavy and not custom fit for the N4. I had to actually put filler around the body to keep the guitar from moving around. Is there a case Washburn made that actually fits the body instead of this general pathetic guitar case? I found a picture of such a case they made years ago but can't find it for sale anywhere, Check out the pics and if you know where I can find this case let me know.

Hi Zip, my USA MG came with the same case as in the picture, that was 1992 issue. Don't know where you are, but here in the UK there are no dealers or suppliers that stock ANY spare Washburn cases, tight fit or otherwise. If it isn't a Custom Shop then it comes in a gig bag.
Ridiculous situation. Hey, let us know if you find a stash of these anywhere, i'll have a couple...

N4 Case question.

Hi there,

This is my first post here.

I just bought the new proto of N2 Mourning Widows from Jon (Funky Munky Music).

Apart from the great service (he actually replaced the neck W2 pickup with a SD59 for me), expedited delivery and best prices around (not to mention his friendliness and readiness to respond to any question), he actually added a custom fit Washburn case. It is similar to the recent new N4 cases(I also bought an N4 Vintage some six months ago); however, it is thinner, lighter, the inside plush is very high quality and dense and does not feel synthetic as the N4 case I was referring to. And lastly, it has the contours of the N2/N4 body.

I don't know whether he can sell these separately, or my case was an exception, but I'm sure you can always contact him. As I said, it is an exceptional service.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

So it sounds like washburn started making a case that actually fits the N4/2's etc.. custom now. I will hit up funky monkey and maybe email or call washburn, will post any new info I get.

It's called GCN4 and it's a nice case.  Funky Munky can take care of you.
