What's this model???? ? please help
« on: September 02, 2009, 06:07:08 AM »
[?][?][?]

Hello,

I'm having a problem in knowing the name of the model. An acquaintance has told me that the name of the model was washburn casino (problably because of the dice knobs), but I couldn't find any information of it in the entire WEB.
The serial number is  PL40RC  -  V-VIO (the picture didn't come out ok.. That's what's written on the label inside the body).
I know it's been discontinued, But I'd really like to have a little more information on this guitar.
I'll add pictures to make it easier to identify the (beautiful) instrument.
I hope somebody will find some time to help me.
many thanks...

Hi fabsag and welcome to the forum. I've put a link to the Washburn Archives page which relates to models similar to yours, check it out.

The dice knobs are likely custom. As far as I know, the only Guitar that used the casino designation as a model is the Epiphone Casino, bolt on neck version of a 335. Do you know the approximate year of the guitar? A tuning head pic would be a help in getting an identity.

From what I can see it looks like a J6.

yep.

I've been eyeballing a guit like that, but with a Bigsby, and they're calling it a J7, That wooden trapeze bridge is something I've never noticed on a Washburn before.
