Phenolic fretboard?
« on: September 22, 2009, 09:05:30 AM »
I've yet to get my hands on an HM series guitar, but I'm really looking forward to it.  I'm holding out for one with the phenolic fretboard.  I checked wikipedia and it listed a few different possibilities.  Phenolic refers to the resin, which can be used many different ways, including pool balls!

So are the fretboards laminates?  And if so, with what?  I've seen Parker ads that refer to a composite fiberglass fretboard.  Is that what we're gotting on these HMs?

In any case, I'm eager to try them out.  I like ebony because it's dark, smooth and fast.  These phenolic fretboards look like they outdo ebony, speed and blackness-wise.
