Hardshell Cases For Festival Series Guitars...?...
« on: October 11, 2009, 08:07:00 AM »
I have noticed that many EA16 guitars...and others in the Festival Series, too...seem to come only with the padded gig bag.

Does Washburn have a hardshell case for the EA16 guitars?

And, if so, how much do they cost? And where could I find one?

In my opinion, any guitar as nice as the Washburn Festival Series should come...standard issue...with a hardshell case!! Don't you think??[?]

I just realized something: the gig bag for the EA16 is listed as a GB70.

Would that mean that the hardcase would be a GC70? There is a GC70 listed in some of the music shops for Washburns.

That makes sense to me...but does anybody know for sure?

Actually, I believe the GC-75 is the hardcase for the Festivals, but maybe only for the thin ones.  I think the EA-16 is a standard width guitar, and may also fit in a standard dreadnaught case.  I think GC-70 is for dreadnaught's, so you might see if that will work also.

Thanks, gtracer.

I found out you are right: the correct case for the EA16 is the GC-75!

Now the only problem: Everybody seems to be out of them right now.[:(]

Stopped by my local luthier yesterday & he had a hardshell case that fit the EA16 perfectly!! It is good and smug! And a great-looking case, to boot. He says the case was designed for a classical guitar...but it couldn't have fit better, if it had been made for it.

BTW...all the guitar outlets are currently back-ordered on the GC75 right now. They say they will receive new inventories 10-29.
