I totally agree ! i am not a fan of active pickups ! not a very warm sound especially when used as a neck pickup! stop with the emgs...

This is my 526 in voodoo black. Nick, any idea on how many of these were made? I bought this from The Music Farm and they told me this was a special run made just for them, but they couldn't give me a number on how many were made. They said they had received some with black and some with chrome hardware. Just trying to get an accurate number on the run for my records. I love this guitar, I'll be swapping out these stock emg's for a 81/60 set in chrome soon.  Thanks in advance for any info you may have on this.

Agreeing with Ascension, I was wondering if anyone has done the gut/re-wire to passives for this guitar?

I'm specifically thinking of putting Lace Deathbuckers in it, but was wondering what others have done / thought.

Thanks!

Awesome guitar Bloodrose, I was very close to bidding on that guitar.  If I had seen the finish as in last picture you posted, I definitely would have.    To be redundant, I love my WM526.  After converting the power supply to 18V, I have no desire to switch out the EMG's.

Thanks! I LOVE it!! Honestly, pictures dont do it justice. The last pic is kinda a tip of the iceberg shot.  Ive yet to be able to really capture the effect.  When I saw the listing, I couldnt decide if it was tacky or cool.. I took the chance. Im so glad I did!!
im considering the 18v mod too, but wasnt sure how to do it with the one battery being in the flip out thing.. Ive done it with other guitars, but the battery was attached with the clip on type..
