MB6 stacked pot
« on: December 20, 2009, 11:07:39 PM »
Hi everyone,
I have a question about the stacked pot on my MB6. I recently bought this 6 string bass but the previous owner had removed one of the pots because it wasn't working. Its soldered onto the circuit board and has 6 pins, I think it also may have been a pull out pot also but I could be wrong.I want to buy another pot but I haven't been able to find a circuit. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?
thanks in advance
Harry

Does anyone own one of these basses and could possibly have a look?

I have an MB8 that uses Status pickups and electronics so it might not be the same. There are four knobs - volume, bass add/cut, treble add/cut, and pickup balance. The pickup balance is a stacked pot; mine is likely a 220k log/220k rev log stereo pot. Mine is not pull-out. Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks Alan. Your information is very helpful. You are right its not a pullout pot, I made a mistake there. The bass works without it but I am trying to track down a pot and I'll let you know how I go.
