You have a picture? It would help. [:)]

Don't look for much as a trade in. Most shops want you to give them your guitar. You won't be offered much. It would probably be better if you sell it yourself, then buy what you want.

Are you sure you have an N6?  I don't think the N6 was being made in 2002.

That's what i was told m8, so no I'm not entirely sure. This guitars headstock is reversed, so its facing the right way, and is equipped with 2 Seymour Duncan humbuckers. I apologize for poor picture quality, but it shows the reversed headstock, and the pickup setup. I suspect it's an N4 of some sort, but again... I was told it was an N6

Hi Everyone.

Someone is proposing to sell me a N4 davies, but it seems to have no serial number at the back of the headstock.
The owner says to me this one was a prototype...
Does anyone has information about this?
is it possible? Do I have to run away frome this deal?

I would appreciate any help on the subject.

Thank you

More likely the 8th piece made on January 4, 2009. The serial numbers have some rhyme and reason to them...but I'm nowhere as knowledgable about electrics as acoustics, so hopefully someone else will chime in with the real scoop!

Cheers!

The Ibanez JEMs and Washburn N4s are two of the most faked guitars sold on the internet as per recent reliable statistics, although I'm sure the Chibsons will catch up soon.

An N4 is high-end enough that I'd demand some sort of paper trail!!

You're talking, what, $1,000+? Unless it's got a verifiable COA or the extension number so I can call the Custom Shop (or Boogie Street or Funky Munky or Stephen Davies) directly, then at the very least I'd call it "shady." Where's the receipt from when HE bought it? ...or did it just "fall off the truck"?

Barring verifiable proof, you & the seller should meet up at a quality guitar shop, & be prepared to pay a few $$ to get a pro opinion on actual value. If you offer to pay the tab, & the seller still refuses to go, then I'd guess the guitar's either counterfeit or stolen.

You could maybe even try to bribe the man himself to get some verification -- you, of course, have already looked up Stephen Davies' guitar shop...?
