My D10s has high frets string buzz..help!
« on: January 26, 2010, 05:15:45 PM »
I must start my first post on saying how much I love my D10s more and more everyday..

Anyway, I am getting some string buzz recently on frets 14th,13th,12th just before it joines the body especially on the treble strings...

I have Martin M140 Light gauge ( 0.12-0.54) strings on now. D'addario custom light (0.11-0.52) and I dint notice any buzzing, nor with the stock strings that came with my 2008 china made D10s..

Can this be eliminated by adjusting truss rod? I want to avoid luthier to save cost..

HElp....thanks...

Thanks guys. I am in London which is really cold now with heating in my room. I kinda think that humidity is the factor...

So keeping it in case for weeks will solve the problem? I mean, I can't play it for weeks? :(

Yep. All my guits are living in their cases right now. The cold dry Canadian Winter has my D10SCE buzzing a bit but life in that dark, silent case with a humidifier helps - a lot. I just hate to think of her all lonely in there.
