Hello all...This is my 1986 G-2V. No real issues with exception of a few mismatched screws on the faceplate/pick guard, missing plug screw (see photo)etc.
I am unable to locate a whammy bar, and also have question concerning how the bar was secured in place. I tried a close fit but it did not actually lock into position. Any information on how that works would be helpful. It was suggested to me that perhaps the original bar
may have been manufactured with a taper, or reverse taper to facilitate locking.

All set with the bar....it's a pressure fitting...had one made to spec.
