I noticed on my last topic (that got sidetrack)that there seemed be some deep interest in Bob Dylan.  This is making me wonder what are Dylan's most popular song and why?

Three of my favorites are: Sara, Isis, and Bob Dylan's 119th Dream.  I my reasons later.

Sara, because it is a love song or a song of longing that is very poetic and avoids being too simplistic.  Isis, because it is great storytelling of a wild story.  Bob Dylan's 119th Dream, because it so crazy and because it is a subject many of us can identify with on some level.

I like a lot of Dylan's earlier folk stuff, but of the ones mentioned so far Isis is by far my fave!  To list all of his songs that I like would take WAAAAY too much bandwidth...wouldn't know where to start!

Good thread, Lafayette...I bet some of us will post many times as we remember the ghosts of Dylans past.

He is.  I thought we were using this thread for some important issues we've been pondering, like candy bars, case candy, and who's dumb and who's not dumb.
