Just purchased one used and noticed that when I have the pickup selector in the middle I can turn one pickup all the way down and the other continues to produce sound. Is this normal or did the previous owner mod the guitar to do this? I don't mind it, just find it unusual.

thanks
Peter

Each pickup has it's own volume and tone. There is no master volume when in the center position of the selector switch.

They tend to be wired this way on 'import' guitars but stuff like Gibsons wire them the other way.

There are pros and cons to both in my opinion.
