Whats up all?  I was curious to know if anyone has tried one?  Is this phenolic fretboard the real deal?  I've heard this is fairly close to the Parker necks as far as smootness/playabilty, but I can't find any reviews.

The carbon epoxy board that is on the WM526 is the same as the parker. The Phenolic has a similar feel. It is the real deal. I bought a 24v and about the only thing Ive played since I got it, is my WM526.  The 24 feels and plays like a $800 guitar.. I CANT believe what I got it for.  If you like smooth board and EFFORTLESS bends, go for it...

I have a 08 wv40. it is definitely a lot harder and smoother than wood.it is definitely easy on the fingers. I'm sure by now you have already found out for yourself.

I was playing my RS8V last night and I've come to like the 'carbolite' fretboard on that. Can't imagine it's the same as the Parker but it is nice to play.

I'm not sure what is on the wv40,the adds say phenolic.Ive looked this up on wikke.what is carbolite? is that carbon fiber?I don't no what is under the phenolic,wood or fiberglass or just all some kind of resin.

I've no idea but I think that's what they called the stuff the RS8V fretboard from.

It's a lump of hard black stuff with a slight green tint to it.

Carbolite is like carbon fiber. Its nice to play it. I own a WV 546 with it.

I sold my WV40, but I wish I had kept my WM24. I have 3 D10S guitars left, and a couple others. I could buy a WM24 with a F.R. for what they want to sell me back my 24. Tom. P.S. Now I'm selling the Guild GAD30-E, that I sold these for, so I could buy it. Wow what a mistake.[:I]
