Thank you.  I scored the WI45 on eBay, and did get really lucky on that auction.  I ended up getting the WI45 at a bargain price.

thanks for taking the time to write that out Woody. Interesting points. I've always viewed the -64 as more of an SG as well. Played one ver sparingly, but was surprised at the difference in balance.
NOW we gotta get you to land a -66 with Duncans and do a similar comparison..

Thanks!  Yes - I do love that shade of red.  Back in the day a friend of mine was in a local pretty sucessful Rock Band, and he had a trans red Gibson SG.  It reminds me a little bit of that SG.
