Long Weekend
« on: July 02, 2010, 08:55:53 AM »
Hope everyone has a great weekend and a Happy 4th!  Don't forget to say a prayer for our soldiers.  It's a crazy world and they certainly need 'em.

I'm looking forward to catching up on my playing time and...you'll all laugh at this...I've also taken up banjo.  Been playing about 2 mos and it's a blast.

Nothing wrong with banjos Mike.  Mandolins are a little iffy, but banjos are cool.
Happy Fourth all!

Yeah, banjos are cool...but me playing one is what might cause some snickers.   [:p]

I'd love to get a mandolin sometime too but I've got may hands full now.

LOL, I've always wanted to get an octave mandolin, or convert a guitar into one.  I like the deeper tones.

Yep, I like mandolins, too.

The conversion works quite nice.  To me an octave is like a 12 stringer---nice to have around when the mood hits, but not in the everyday scheme of things.

I just got a little parlor that's been converted.  I posted some pics are in the Bluegrass[8)] section of the forum.
