Who is my gtr?
« on: August 05, 2010, 07:03:59 PM »
I would like to know more about my gtr (I like her a lot) but I never thought much about its manufacturing history, it's a washburn mercury sereis II, the serial number is 4030814 ( it says nothing more) so i guess it's from 94, but i don't know what model this is, I send a blured photo that might help...is it manufactured in the states? and what was the original price?

Most likely a 401.  The import MGs (Mercury IIs) were made in Korea.

Yes, they just confirmed from the support service, it's a 94 mercury II mg401 BLD, camed from Korea. All I have to say is: thanks again, and that this is a gtr, that sounds really great and it's beautyfull, the pickup is not the best, but all in all, it's a great gtr that keeps on amaze me, since I play on a Band with a collection of the greatest classics gtr ever ( You name it, we have it...)and when I return to my mg401 it's like returning home...Smood, easy, powerfull and vibrating gtr, that will go with me till the end of my days.
