Acoustic models with one-piece carved back and sides

Howdy, All-

New to the forum (did I miss the party?). A number of years ago, I ran across an article about a Washburn thin-bodied acoustic model in which the back and sides were carved from a solid piece of mahogany. I think that it was the model used by the California Guitar Trio at one time.

Does any of this sound familiar? If so, can anyone verify the model number, please?

I first thought about the Ryman models...oak soundboards from the seating in the old Ryman theater and mahogany bodies/necks.
