darreno27;
    I noticed on the Vintage Washburn Guitar site that you'll be showing some of Jim Smith Sr's collection of Washburn guitars?!  When will that be happening and how much of his collection are you going to show?

James, that's a good question.

Jim use to post on the forum on a regular basis, then something happened, a lot of his posts were edited or deleted altogether.....he was a great asset to the forum, very knowledgable and in possession of quite a bit of historical information regarding Washburn products in general.  I'm not sure you can count on seeing Jim's collection on the forum, but you can visit the website he runs and probably see some of them there.

Cheers from.....

Dugly [8D]

Looks like they have already started posting some pictures of his collection.
Here's the website I was talking about:

Click on his name. Looks like they're going to post about 100 of his guitars.

Hello - and yes! Jim and I are working on showing around 100 of his guitars to start out with.  We talked about it it a ways back, and now we are finally getting to it [:)]  He mentioned he doesn't scroll the forums much anymore, but Jim is always willing to answer questions if you shoot him an email.

I have around 15 more guitars to post, and Jim sends me a few guitars every now and then to add.  It is a lengthy process,and I don't want to get too far ahead of myself until we figure out how to present them.  Jim has a great deal of information, pictures, catalog info, and documents that will surely be interesting to everyone.  What you see is a rough draft and I didn't even realized I linked it already - but feel free to check out what has been posted.  I will keep everyone in the loop if a major update takes place.  Stay tuned!

Ok it looks like everything is good to go.  It is hard to imagine these 100 guitars are only a fraction of his collection:
