EQ300 wiring help
« on: December 31, 2010, 11:04:51 AM »
Happy New Year ...

I've got a 20-year old D12CE Electric Acoustic with the EQ300 pickup.
On Wednesday the audio started getting bad and the LED on the EQ started flickering.  Then it went dead.

I pulled it apart today and discovered that the black battery wire broke off the circuit board.  I'm looking, but can't seem to see where it was soldered to the board.  The close-up reading glasses are not helping ... thought I could see a bit of the wire sticking out of the solder.  Nope.

I could really use a picture of the circuit board with the black lead, or a schematic.

Are parts available?  That plastic part with the slider markings broke years ago and I may as well replace it.

I had 5 frets replaced last month and the guitar sounds great.

I solved it.  The black battery wire connects to the white wire on the circuit board.  That lead goes to the power switch in the jack.  The jack then connects the battery to the ground wire (the shield)

I'd still like to get the plastic cover.  I didn't find it on the parts websites.
