restringing a G Junior-V
« on: January 23, 2011, 12:32:07 PM »
I have a Washburn G Junior-V electric, and the top string has broken. Can anyone advise me how to replace the string? The strings seem to be attached to the bridge through circular holes in the metal, and it looks as though I will have to remove the whole bridge in order to attach the new string - is this right?
(I can post a photo if needed)

Louis, have you checked the back of the guitar to see if there are matching holes. Or, there could be holes on the back of the bridge for this purpose. If there are, then try feeding the string up through the corresponding hole. Guitars aren't made to remove the bridge just to re-string.
