Trem help please
« on: February 03, 2011, 03:14:29 PM »
Hi, i have an early 90's N2 (serial1060705) with a 600s trem. The hardware is looking a little tatty so i have decided to replace it with all gold parts. the question is will a lo-pro floyd fit in this guitar?
minor body mods i can do but im worried about the string spacing in relation with the fretboard width. any ideas?

The 600S trem stud should fit the lo-pro, assuming the stud spacing on the lo-pro is the same at the original floyd rose.

Why don't you measure what you've got and compare that with the specifications of what you plan to replace it with?

Having said that, most licensed Floyd Rose tremolos are going to have the same string spacing within 1mm or so. You're more likely to get caught out with stud spacing. Even then, tiny differences can be got away with.

I've swapped a 600S with an Original Floyd Rose with no problems.
