Yamaki aficionados...

What say you about a 1980ish D30 12 string, Rosewood/spruce, Martin Headstock?

Owner claims it's a '79

A forum search reveals nothing about this guitar.

Thoughts? Info?

Kimo, Here's info from Jim Smith's site from the blue book.  Wonder if the seller just called it spruce not knowing the difference?  Sounds like it would be worth a look.

D30 S (FIRST VERSION)
- dreadnought style, solid cedar top, round soundhole, bound body, three-stripe purfling, five-stripe rosette, rosewood back/sides, mahogany neck, 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with herringbone/snowflake inlay, bound headstock with three-per-side chrome diecast tuners, rosewood bridge with pearl dot white pins and bone saddle, tortoise pickguard, available in Natural finish, mfg. 1978-early 1980s.
D30 S 12 12-String
- similar to the D30 S, except in 12-string configuration and six-per-side tuners, available in Natural finish, mfg. 1978-early 1980s.
D30 S (SECOND VERSION)
- Southern Jumbo style, solid cedar top, round soundhole, tortoise pickguard, bound body, three-stripe purfling, five-stripe rosette, bird´s-eye maple back/sides, mahogany neck, 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, rosewood bridge with pearl dot white pins and bone saddle, bird´s-eye maple peghead veneer, three-per-side chrome diecast tuners, available in Natural finish, mfg. 1985-1994. Last MSR was $750
Guitars, I have a few - but then again, too few to mention
