same guitar specs, different finish

the WV546 was one color (black/red/white)

the WV548 had either two color (black and silver) or the Taxi finish

What about the black and red WV548? You seem to see less of those, are they rarer or a different year ?

Are you sure ? I searched the website of a store here in The Netherlands and they have the WV546 but not the WV548.

The 548 I just bought is coming from the USA btw

Did anyone here play both the USA WV and WM (526) series?  Are there any difference in the neck profile thickness?

I'd be very surprised if the neck profiles aren't the same,
the whole idea behind the HM series was fast guitars.

Black was made more in the earlier models. They used a lot of red and black paint on the first two runs of  Vindicators because they made the Renegades at the same time and those were mostly red and black as well. White came later and it was when Washburn messed up and made rosewood necks instead of phenolic like the first few runs. (They called ALL washburn Vindicators WM-40 up till then) The Vindicators that came out with the rosewood neck are actually called, "WM-39" 's. They seem to cost half the price and are made very cheap!!! I bought one off the web and the neck felt warped and the electronics sucked!!! Granted it was a real Washie but whome ever made it must have been high on crack that day.
