Black was made more in the earlier models. They used a lot of red and black paint on the first two runs of Vindicators because they made the Renegades at the same time and those were mostly red and black as well. White came later and it was when Washburn messed up and made rosewood necks instead of phenolic like the first few runs. (They called ALL washburn Vindicators WM-40 up till then) The Vindicators that came out with the rosewood neck are actually called, "WM-39" 's. They seem to cost half the price and are made very cheap!!! I bought one off the web and the neck felt warped and the electronics sucked!!! Granted it was a real Washie but whome ever made it must have been high on crack that day.
