As long as it plays well and the cracks don't bother, you I saw one like that unrepaired in a pawn shop and passed on it later found an excellent 83, your first two digits on ser should indicate year and a search here will tell you lots more upper right of page to search

This guitar is on ebay right now. be very careful, they know how to angle the guitar and shadow of light for the pctures. I saw 4 distinct lines from the bridge to the butt, they say 2. When I asked for pictures of the back they were amazed to find 2 cracks in the back and immediately offered a price reduction...I delined. I still have All the pictures if anyone is interested. they will take $375.  its realy nice all but the cracks, they are just too many of them for me at any price...

Update on the D60SW....the seller actually overstated the wear...definitely only two hairline cracks in front, one hairline in back and one more substantial but not bad crack in back....has the sound I was hoping for....different but similar to my 84 D60SW....booming base and resonant....but rosewood instead of ovankal, square head instead of v....I probably paid more than I should have, but such is the way of my obsession....a 1989 D61SW is on it's way....

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but this was the top result on google for this guitar.

I found a good condition D60SW in the store for $600. Is that still a good deal? You guys found 2 at $326 and $375 at a pawn shop and ebay, but Reverb just sold one for $649 this year. Did this guitar appreciate in value or did you guys just find crazy good deals?

I'm really interested in the guitar. I played it side by side with a Taylor DN4, and I preferred the Washburn. I'm happy since it's cheaper than the Taylor, but I also don't want to get ripped off. I'd appreciate any advice.

That's about consonant with Blue Book valuation if it has a decent case, so you're not getting "ripped off." Then again, you're not going to make money by flipping it, but you wouldn't lose either.

Whether it's worth buying is a matter of how well it's aged & mellowed. If it's a dream to play & sounds great, & doesn't soon need a neck reset or reglued ribs, & you appreciate that stuff, then it's a deal.

Never played a D60 but if it's as good as my D62, or anything like my D61 it won't disappoint.

You guys found 2 at $326 and $375 at a pawn shop and ebay
To clarify, "those guys" haven't been around much in recent years. The $375 eBay find had distinct cracks, which might need hydration & cleats (not cheap!) to ensure ribs don't start popping off. :o The other guy seems to know he got a bargain. ;)

It's all rather relative, anyway. I got a MIM P-bass for $180 + tax. But anyone who wants to own a Standard Fender in the foreseeable future probably ought to have an actual $250-$350 in hand, rather than hoping for a stroke of luck.
