Today is a very good day.

I've gotta scoot out the door, but I just can't wait.....

Some of you know exactly what I'm talking about.

You got it Chris. This is a D-55SW Cherokee, made by Bourgeois for Washburn in '95, as part of the Native line. 150 Cherokee's were made. It's a Sitka top and Indian Rosewood back and sides.

Wouldn't you know I received it at 1:30 pm, after taking the morning off from work for it (supposed to be here by noon, and I had to be out the door at 2:00. and I'm just getting home now (almost 1:00am)

I've not had time to do much but unpack, inspect, tune, and drool.

I didn't know if it was one of the earliest ones with the smaller bridge plate til I received it. I knew the serial number, and being such an earlier build date, hoped for it, but wasn't sure.

First thing I did as part of the inspection was to stick a mirror in the sound hole and see about the plate. I'll get some proper photos Saturday.

It's a beautiful guitar.

Sorry guys, I am out straight, which is a blessing, cuz I'm earning again after a very lean year.

Have barely had time to play it, let alone restring with new strings, take photos, etc...

Cool story on obtaining it too. 14 months in the making, from a VERY cool seller, who's father bought it brand new, and passed it on to the son when he passed.
