Just recently snatched this off ebay. The guitar is near mint and will sit alongside my early 90s Hamers. Slightly different from other MGs ive seen in that it doesnt have a tone control

I see a Hamer usa with boomers in the back as well.  How does the MG compare?

I'm just waiting for it to come back from a set-up/ pickup swap. I've had a few early 90s hamers such as the chaparral and Californian, I currently own one of each and I think they're great. Expecting good things from the MG as I believe they were built by the old gamer team. I'll let you know how it plays.

Cheers

Hi!

I believe that your MG-104 was custom ordered (aside from being already a custom shop model itself) because it does not have the Tone pot/knob, also the Volume knob should be chrome finished.

The rest of it just looks spot-on to the original specs. You'll find the '59 on the neck sounding rich both in tone and harmonics.

Cheers, JPB
