Are you sure the bottoom of the saddle is  perfectly flat?

It sounds to me like you are getting better transmission to the pickup in the area of one string than the others....that can be b/c the saddle is not flat on the bottom.

cheers for your feed back mate

IMHO, what you want is an even pressure across the UST (Under Saddle Transducer)....if you use electrical tape on the bottom of the saddle, you're "isolating" a bit of those vibrations from the pickup....and not getting all the sound your guitar can produce.

My suggestion is to get a piece of single strength glass (or, even better, double strength) and tape a piece of wet'n'dry sandpaper to it.  Then take your saddle and rub the bottom across the wet sandpaper....the glass will be perfectly flat and provide the surface your saddle needs to be flat once dressed in this manner.

.....imagine if ALL of the strings were as "loud" as that lower E string....yes, that's what you're looking for  ;D .

Good luck....as long as you're fiddling around with your saddle, why not get a bone saddle blank and fit that to the slot in the bridge?  That will make a huge difference in the sound of your Washburn.

Cheers from.....

The WD10SCE comes with bone nut and saddle. Interesting that the OP had to lower the action, mine had it set quite low out of the box.

You need two saddles to set up a guitar. :o
You never know how low you CAN go until you go TO (TOO?) low. :D
Take the second saddle and stop just short. ;)

It's kinda akin to road racin motorcycles.  You never really know how fast you can go---until you fall off.

The question mark is real.....I always get cornfused on this matter.  Perhaps I should ask my High School English Teacher daughter.

'Too' is correct.
'Too' can be used instead of 'over' and 'also'.
